Men's weekend away 2023

30th March 2023. Last weekend about 15 of the men at Church got together at St Katharine's Parmoor, where the church weekend away has previously been held, to spend a weekend together.

Going from Friday night to Sunday morning, it was a great mix of socialising, Bible study and some relatively strenuous (optional) exercise. Friday night drinks with some delicious food cooked by Matt and Sam was a great start to put everyone at ease.

Saturday was wonderful sunny weather which meant we could all go on a lovely, unexpectedly long walk to a local pub in Turville Heath for lunch, sandwiched between some challenging but incredibly encouraging Bible study sessions looking at Romans 8.

All in all it was a great opportunity to get to know each other better in such a beautiful and relaxed setting and I think everyone benefited from the extended time of a whole weekend to completely relax. I’d thoroughly recommend it to something that’s accessible for anyone.
