Junior Jivers

9th March 2023. Junior Jivers is our babies and preschoolers' music and movement class that happens every Friday morning...twice! We have one class at 9.15am and another at 10.45am, with around 20 parents and grandparents on the list for each. We encourage people to sign up for a term so that we can really get to know those that come.

Our aim is: "To be Jesus-like and reliant on God in prayer, taking opportunities to talk about Him and create easy stepping stones for people to find out more."

Each week we sing 6 songs together, including a couple of songs about Jesus, following different themes, such as 'Thank you God' or 'Colours'. Then we have 30-45 minutes of free play for the kids whilst the parents and grandparents drink coffee and chat!

We try to show a real interest and love for those that come, and the difference this makes to the atmosphere has been commented on by many mums! This term we're inviting people to the Slavko event this Saturday and we'll also be giving away some little Easter books and inviting people to Easter services. Next term we hope to have a women's breakfast!

We have two wonderful helpers at each session at the moment, as well as some wonderful, committed mums who come along and together we all form a team with the same aim of sharing Jesus. We pray before each session together and aim to be available to chat with and support the parents and grandparents who come along. We've seen a few come to church, to our testimony evenings in the past and to Follow the Star, which has been really encouraging!

At the moment, we're really in need of two more people to join our team. We would love to have a couple more helpers who are able to serve tea and coffee and draw alongside the parents and grandparents who come.
