T4 Regular Giving Scheme update - July 2024
Dear Trinity at Four church family,
I'm sure you'll agree that time has flow very quickly since our Regular Giving Scheme (RGS) launch in February! Wonderfully, the Lord continues to meet our needs in all aspects of the church family, and that extends to financial provision.
In February, David Guillebaud and I painted a fairly precarious picture of Trinity at Four's finances over the upcoming year. We were forecasting that Trinity at Four's cash reserves would deplete by over half during the course of 2024 - from approximately £100,000 in the bank at the start of the year, down to less than £50,000 by year end. This would have equated to a total decline of operating funds by mid 2025, a situation that obviously prompted much prayer and careful reflection on (i) how we currently assign our funds; and (ii) whether (by appealing to church members to consider increased giving) we could seek to close the funding gap.
Praise God that the launch of the RGS was met with a wonderful response by the church family. The total number of regular givers increased by approximately one third, up to 50+ individuals or families. Moreover, through new giving and increased pledges by existing donors, our monthly income grew by ca. £2,500 (after accounting for Gift Aid). Now slightly over the halfway point of 2024, we can gladly show an updated and less severe outlook:
We continue to prayerfully operate under God's sovereign provision, but simply to say: a big THANK YOU to all RGS members for your ongoing financial support of the ministry at Trinity at Four! We understand that individuals' financial commitments change, and - to reiterate - all RGS pledges are non-binding and can be changed at any time.
If you are not yet part of the scheme and would like information on how to give, either in a one-off capacity or through our Regular Giving Scheme, please contact me (email address below).
With love and thanks,
Matthew Clough
